Ragin Cajuns Slip Past Arizona, 4-3
Conditions were not ideal but Louisiana-Layfayette and Arizona were able to put their game in the books.

Andy DiBenedetto had a good game, but he could not keep the Arizona Wildcats from falling, 4-3, to the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns at Field of the Dukes. The Arizona first baseman went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice in the loss. John Crouch was credited with the save for Louisiana-Layfayette, his 8th of the season.

Chris Bottoms contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With a runner on 3rd, he drew a walk. It was one at-bat that helped Louisiana-Layfayette get the win.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Bottoms told the Louisiana-Layfayette Observer. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."

The Ragin Cajuns move to 13-14 with the win, while the Wildcats drop to 13-14.
