Davis Helps Hurricanes Beat Commodores
|
The Miami Hurricanes beat the Vanderbilt Commodores, 5-0, at Ballpark of Barrow College. The win was largely due to the efforts of designated hitter Zach Davis, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Andrew Millard was the winner. Over 6.1 innings, he allowed no runs on 3 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. Miami now owns a record of 18-9.
