Sycamores Topple Hurricanes, 4-1

Indiana State beat Miami in a rain-soaked ballgame.
Gary Skinner made an impact in the 4-1 Indiana State win over Miami. Skinner, who is rated as the 26th best prospect by BNN, was 2-3 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Ray Toye earned the save for Indiana State, his 5th of the year.
One of the key players for the Sycamores was center fielder Jon Kirkendall, who drilled a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning. For the game, Kirkendall went 1 for 4 with a walk.
"This was a good win for us," said Skinner. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."
The winning streak has now reached 4 games for the Sycamores.
