The Ohio State Buckeyes got a stellar performance from pitcher Matt Pierce, who handcuffed the Florida offense en route to a 4-2 win at Ballpark of Bloomfield College. Mike Johnson got the save, the 7th for him this season. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Buckeyes.

Jim Dillon gave Ohio State a good at-bat in the bottom of the third inning. With the bases loaded, he grounded out, driving in 1 run to help send Ohio State to the win.
