Tigers Need Extras to Top Hurricanes
The Auburn Tigers did just enough to secure a 5-4 victory over the Miami Hurricanes at Zodiac Ballpark. Nobody did more than catcher Mike Rocha, who captured player of the game honors. The first-place Tigers now have a win-loss record of 15-8.

Coming to the plate with one out in the bottom of the tenth inning, Auburn second baseman Adam Bertron had a chance to be the hero. Facing Miami pitcher Jim Unknown with the bases loaded, Bertron hit a walk-off run-scoring single.

"Put a star next to this win," Bertron said.
