Tar Heels Shut Out Razorbacks
|
The exploits of shortstop Justin Sikorsky, who is tied for 9th in the SBL with a .487 on-base percentage, helped the North Carolina Tar Heels defeat the Arkansas Razorbacks, 7-0. Sikorsky was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. North Carolina occupies 9th place in the Ron Fraser Division at 13-10.
North Carolina took a 5-0 lead on Sikorsky's 4th home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which he hit off Jimmy Baron in the top of the sixth, propelled North Carolina to the win.
"Anytime we get it going, it puts a smile on my face," said Sikorsky.
