The Michigan Wolverines used an offensive barrage to beat the Indiana State Sycamores, 10-1, at Siege Ballpark. Alex Garza led the way, going 2-for-3 for Michigan. Evan Thomas earned the win for Michigan. He lasted 6 innings, allowing no earned runs on 4 hits, while striking out 4. With the win, he raised his record to 2-1. David Simmons nailed down his 1st save.

Garza contributed when he hit a grand slam in the bottom of the seventh. Coming with one out and the bases loaded, the home run proved to be critical to helping Michigan get the win.

"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Indiana State manager Ed Johnson. "We got flat-out beat."

Michigan has now won 4 straight.
