Owls Fall to Farris, Aggies
The Texas A&M Aggies blasted the Rice Owls, 16-4. Chaz Farris was one of the hitting stars. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for Texas A&M. A key moment came when Farris faced Rice hurler Steven Townsend in the bottom of the fifth. The Aggies, who were trailing 3-2, had runners on 1st and 2nd. Farris got a first pitch changeup and hit a 3-run home run.

In comments to the Texas A&M Gazette, Farris insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
