Hurricanes Stay Hot, Beat Volunteers

The Miami Hurricanes got a stellar performance from pitcher Josh Forseth, who handcuffed the Tennessee offense en route to a 5-1 win at Madera College Grounds. The winning pitcher was Forseth, now 1-2. He tossed 7 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 9. The first-place Hurricanes have won 5 straight.
Jacob Cutter contributed a productive at-bat in the top of the sixth. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he drew a walk. It was one at-bat that helped Miami get the win.
"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Miami manager Leslie Hanson.
