Dillon, Buckeyes Too Much for Demon Deacans
|
In a high-scoring contest between Ohio State and Wake Forest, center fielder Jim Dillon was a difference-maker. Dillon earned player of the game honors in the 15-9 Ohio State win. He went 4-5 with 2 home runs and a triple. He scored 4 runs and drove in 5. Preston Williams, the winner, improved to 3-0. He held Wake Forest to 2 earned runs on 5 hits over 5.2 innings, while racking up 7 strikeouts. After today's action, Ohio State sits at 11-9, while Wake Forest falls to 12-8.
