Seminoles Clip Yellow Jackets in Tight Contest

The Florida State Seminoles defeated the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, 5-2. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Mike Miller, who went 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Jim Unknown finished the game for Florida State and earned his 1st save. With the win, Florida State goes to 8-11, while the Yellow Jackets fall to 10-9.
Miller turned the game around in the top of the eighth. That's when the Florida State first baseman dialed up a grand slam home run. Just like that, Florida State's 2-1 deficit turned into a 5-2 lead.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Florida State manager Gene Barraclough. "It's usually not just one thing."
