Davis Helps Hurricanes Beat Gamecocks
The exploits of designated hitter Zach Davis, who is tied for 10th in the SBL in runs scored with 18, helped the Miami Hurricanes defeat the South Carolina Gamecocks, 6-2. Davis went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The Hurricanes have an impressive 12-7 record.

In the top of the fifth inning, Miami got a break when Davis went to the plate. With one out, a runner on 3rd and the Hurricanes leading 1-0, Davis hit a 2-run home run.
