Golden Eagles Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
Danny Cook never let the Ducks get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Golden Eagles to a 4-1 win. Kevin Hargrove earned his 3rd save in 3 tries. The 4th-place Golden Eagles lifted their record to 12-6.

Danny Stepp broke a 0-0 tie in the bottom of the second with a 2-run double. It put the Golden Eagles in front, 2-0. For the game, Stepp was 1-3 with a double and a walk. He drove in 2 runs.

"I had a good game plan," said Cook. "I made my pitches." His manager concurred. "It was all there," Jason Metcalf said, "the velocity, the sharpness of his pitches."
