Hurricanes Hang 2-1 Loss on Salukis
|
In a tight battle between the Miami Hurricanes and the South Illinois Salukis, pitcher Aaron Lentz was in the zone. The Miami right-hander was named the player of the game in Miami's 2-1 win. Getting the save was T.J. Hurd, his 5th. Miami is now 10-7.
Rich Groves gave Miami a good at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the bases loaded, he hit a run-scoring single to help send Miami to the win.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Groves.
