Bulldogs Topple Beavers as Rizzo Shines
The Mississippi State Bulldogs outscored the Oregon State Beavers, 14-12. Mike Rizzo led the way, going 4-for-5 for Mississippi State. Kyle Love picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 2-0. Michael Tallon was tagged with the loss. Devonte Lebeaux was credited with the save for Mississippi State, his 3rd of the season.

Rizzo contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring single. It was one of the critical at-bats that helped Mississippi State get the win.

"They're fun to watch and the hitters get to pad their stats but nobody's really happy about a game like that," Mississippi State manager Carlton Price. "I promise you I'm not happy."

The 14th-place Bulldogs improved to 8-8.
