Longhorns Defeat Bears, 7-3
|
With left fielder Bobby Cahall leading the charge, the Texas Longhorns defeated the Baylor Bears, 7-3, at Wolverines Stadium. Cahall, who is tied for 9th in the RDL in home runs with 6, went 2-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Texas currently is in 19th place in the Cliff Gustafson at 6-10.
Cahall turned the game around in the top of the seventh. That's when the Texas left fielder dialed up a 2-run home run. Just like that, Texas's 3-2 deficit turned into a 4-3 lead.
"I'm not out there for personal accomplishments," Cahall told a Texas Times reporter after the game. "I'm out there to help the team win, and that's what we did today."
