The LSU Tigers wiggled past the Rice Owls, 6-5, at Toughkenamon College Fields. LSU third baseman Jason Hyslop earned player of the game honors. After today's action, LSU sits at 10-6, while Rice falls to 9-7.
Jason Conradt said the idea of hitting a home run barely crossed his mind when he came to bat in the top of the tenth. Conradt belted a 2-run home run to stake LSU to a 6-4 lead. His 8th home run of the season came off Rice pitcher B.J. Kelly.
"Exciting game to play in," said Hyslop. "Getting the win makes it even better."
