Buckeyes Get Close Win Over Sooners
The Buckeyes had to overcome a fine performance from Oklahoma pitcher Mike Duff to grab a 2-1 win at Ballpark of Bloomfield College. Duff allowed 1 earned run over 5.1 innings. Earning his 5th save of the year was Mike Johnson. The Buckeyes improved to 10-5.

Greg Axtman found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Oklahoma hurler Chris Noonan, the 18-year-old pinch hitter hit a sacrifice fly. His 1st RBI of the season put the Buckeyes on top, 2-1.

"We did just enough to win," Axtman said.
