Biernacki Helps Vanderbilt Outscore Wake Forest
The Vanderbilt-Wake Forest matchup at Cypress Quarters College Grounds turned into a real hit parade.

The Vanderbilt Commodores outscored the Wake Forest Demon Deacans, 15-10. Brent Biernacki led the way, going 3-for-5 for Vanderbilt. The win was Craig Huckfeldt's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Vic Horn took the loss for Wake Forest.

Biernacki had a game-changing at-bat for Vanderbilt. It came in the top of the ninth inning with no one out. Biernacki hit a first pitch sinker from Vic Horn for a 2-run double. It put Vanderbilt in front, 11-10.

Wake Forest manager Roberto Salas said he was disappointed with the loss. "Whenever you score in double digits, you expect to win the game."

Vanderbilt is now 9-6, while Wake Forest is 8-7.
