USC starter Keith Hamrock put a stranglehold on the UCLA offense. The left-hander had complete command of his splitter in leading the Trojans to a 4-1 win. USC now has a 3-game win streak.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, catcher Brett Stark came through big-time for the Trojans. With USC leading 2-1, he belted a 2-run home run.
"We put together a nice win," Hamrock said.
