The Cal State Fullerton Titans powered past the TCU Horned Frogs, 19-9, at Hartford College Grounds. Brandon Kortum was 4 for 6 with 2 home runs and 2 singles. He scored 4 times and drove in 5, to lead the charge. The Titans bumped their record to 8-6 with this latest triumph.

There was more than one reason the Titans beat the Horned Frogs, but Kortum's big at-bat in the bottom of the second was an important factor. He staked his team to a 3-1 lead when he hit a 2-run home run.

"Guys always talk about winning games because of the 'little things,'" Kortum told the Cal State Fullerton Gazette. "Call me old fashioned, but I think baseball is about the big things -- like scoring more runs."
