Thompson Helps Bulldogs Beat Green Wave
|
Tyler Thompson knocked in all 4 runs for the Fresno State Bulldogs, helping them beat the Tulane Green Wave, 4-3. Cullen Wetmore closed the door for Fresno State, picking up his 7th save of the year. The winning continues for Fresno State, with the latest making it 8 straight.
Thompson had an impressive at-bat with the game on the line. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 0-2 fastball from Jason Geiger for a 3-run home run. Just like that, the Bulldogs took the lead, 4-3.
"We're playing like gangbusters right now," said Thompson.
