In a low-scoring clash between Kansas and Georgia, pitcher Jesus Soria was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Kansas in the 3-2 win. The win was Jim Unknown's in relief. His record improves to 1-0. A.J. Schneider took the loss for Georgia. The 'W' lifts Kansas's record to 5-8.
Chad Stufft contributed to the Kansas win. The 18-year old second baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the first. For the game, Stufft was 1 for 1 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.
