Neel Shines in Sooners Win
|
The Oklahoma Sooners topped the North Carolina Tar Heels, 5-2, in Skip Bertman League action at Biglerville College Fields. The player of the game was Oklahoma first baseman Joe Neel. Zachary Schultz earned the save for Oklahoma, his 4th. The 9th-place Sooners have won 4 straight games.
Mike Steinle was a key contributor to the win for the Sooners. In the bottom of the sixth with one out, the light-hitting second baseman stroked a single to left. He went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"I had a good game," said Steinle. "Winning makes it even better."
