Late Rally Gets Win for Hurricanes
Miami beat Oklahoma State at Canaries Ballpark, eking out a 7-6 win. The win was due in large part to right fielder Matt Malone, who earned player of the game honors. Miami reliever Matt Guss got the win, raising his record to 2-0. Bryan Marks was tagged with the loss. T.J. Hurd locked down his 3rd save.

The most critical at-bat came in the top of the tenth inning. With no one out, Mark Halt hit a 0-1 fastball from Bryan Marks for a run-scoring single. It put Miami in front, 7-6.

"We had a chance to win," said Oklahoma State manager Chris Dunn, "but we didn't get it done."

With the win, the Hurricanes improved to 7-5.
