Bulldogs Sink Tigers, 7-4

Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Jack Crosby, the Georgia Bulldogs defeated the Auburn Tigers, 7-4. Crosby was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 3 runs for the Bulldogs. Nick Duke picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 3 earned runs on 3 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 3. On the season, he is now 1-1. Even with the win, the Bulldogs have a dismal 3-9 record.
In the top of the 6th, center fielder Larry Collier gave Georgia the lead when he hit a 3-run home run. The Bulldogs had been trailing 3-1, but the two-out home run off Auburn pitcher John Mitchell changed that -- and Georgia went on to win.
After the game, Crosby refused to speak to a reporter for the Georgia Citizen. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
