Ole Miss got an elite performance from starting pitcher Cory Hoffman in taking a 5-1 decision over the Texas Longhorns. Elijah Cooke earned the save for Ole Miss, his 2nd.

The Rebels picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Texas manager Mitsuzuka Ito.

The 18th-place Longhorns have lost 4 consecutive games.
