Cox Propels Hawaii to 2-0 Win
|
Allen Cox pitched a gem in leading Hawaii to a 2-0 victory over the Columbus Aces. Winston Boer finished the game for Hawaii and earned his 3rd save. With their winning streak at 5, the Islanders have raced to a strong start this season.
Cox, who dominated for Hawaii, earned the victory to move to 1-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 8 innings, while striking out 4. Columbus batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"I like how we're playing right now," said Cox.
