Sooners Topple Commodores with Late Rally
|
The Vanderbilt Commodores wasted an inspired, 7.1-inning effort from starter Brian Rea, falling 2-1 to the Oklahoma Sooners at Biglerville College Fields. The Sooners saw their win-loss record go to 5-5. At the same time, the Commodores fell to 5-5.
Kenny Disbennett had the critical at-bat for Oklahoma. With one out in the bottom of the ninth inning, he hit a walk-off run-scoring single. It gave Oklahoma the 2-1 walk-off win.
"It's great to get the crowd pumped up," Disbennett said.
