Kansas had no answer for Vanderbilt Commodores hurler Tyler Lee, who overwhelmed Jayhawks hitters as the Commodores coasted to a 7-1 victory. Vanderbilt is now 5-4.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, right fielder Jason Valentine had a key at-bat for the Commodores. With Vanderbilt leading 3-1, he banged a 2-run home run.
