Golden Eagles Suffer 5-1 Loss to Tigers
LSU and South Mississippi met at Ballpark of Storm Lake College in front of a lively crowd.

LSU turned a good effort from starter Perry Maniscalco into a win over the South Mississippi Golden Eagles at Ballpark of Storm Lake College. The final score was 5-1. Sean Christmas got credit for the save for LSU. It was his 1st of the year.

Rickey Moses came through for LSU in the top of the first. With no one out, Moses victimized Mike Canada with a 3-run home run. It was his 4th home run of the season and put LSU on top, 3-0.

"Good win for us," said Moses. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."

The win pushes LSU to a record of 7-2.
