Oklahoma State wasted a solid 5-inning effort from starting pitcher Billy Boyd, losing to Iowa State, 2-0, at Forney College Grounds. Iowa State reliever Aaron Kelly was the winner. His record is now 1-1. Dan McKnight took the loss. With the win, Iowa State goes to 5-4.

Iowa State took the lead in the bottom of the eighth on a big hit from Chris Krause. On a 1-1 fastball from Dan McKnight, Krause hit a run-scoring single. That made it 1-0, Cyclones. For the day, Krause went 1 for 4.

Krause said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
