Auburn right-hander Bill Schindler was sensational in shutting out the Vanderbilt Commodores, 7-0. Andrew Parks closed the door for Auburn, picking up his 1st save of the year. Auburn, now 7-1, is playing great baseball to start the year.

Daniel Reid had a big bases-clearing double for the Tigers in the bottom of the seventh inning. With Auburn leading 3-0 and the bases loaded, he got a slider from Craig Huckfeldt and stroked the double to left. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Tigers ahead, 6-0.

"I like winning," Reid told the Auburn Gazette. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
