Late Rally by Cowboys Secures Win
|
Oklahoma State withstood an impressive performance by Michigan left fielder Alex Garza to defeat the Wolverines, 3-2, at Canaries Ballpark. Garza slugged 2 home runs. Bryan Marks got the save, the 1st for him this season. With the loss, Michigan drops to 1-7.
Oklahoma State took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, third baseman Shawn Hodges hit a 2-run home run that amped up the crowd.
"There's a lot of fight left in this team," said Hodges.
