Crincoli Excels, But Gamecocks Win
Bill Crincoli had a good game, but he could not keep the Oklahoma Sooners from falling, 8-7, to the South Carolina Gamecocks at Biglerville College Fields. The Oklahoma third baseman hit 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice in the loss. Chris Terry, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. With the loss, Oklahoma is 3-5.

Tied up with the Sooners in the top of the eighth inning, the Gamecocks got a boost from third baseman Josiah Beil. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Beil saw a 1-0 circle change from Chris Noonan and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put South Carolina on top, 8-7.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Beil.
