Bulldogs Suffer 5-2 Loss to Bulldogs
|
Fresno State left fielder Danny Stone made his presence felt in the 5-2 Bulldogs triumph over the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Stone was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 times. Matt Loomis was the winner. Over 6 innings, he allowed 2 runs on 4 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Fresno State goes to 7-1 with the win.
Kevin Jefferson's at-bat in the bottom of the second was significant for the Bulldogs. Coming to the plate with the bases loaded and Fresno State leading 1-0, the designated hitter drew a walk, driving in 1 run.
