Sullivan, Tennessee Prevail in Pitchers' Duel
|
In a well-pitched game between the Tennessee Volunteers and the Florida State Seminoles, pitcher Adam Sullivan was superb. The Tennessee right-hander was named the player of the game in Tennessee's 2-1 win. Ben Goodwin earned the save, his 2nd, for the Volunteers. The Volunteers, with just their 2nd win in 7 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
Sullivan, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 2-0. In 8 innings of work, Sullivan gave up no earned runs on 2 hits, while racking up 8 Ks. He kept the Seminoles punchless, offensively.
"We found a way to get it done," Sullivan said.
