Behrens Helps Owls Run Win Streak to 3
The Rice Owls had no problem beating the Fresno State Bulldogs, 13-3, at Brooks College Grounds. John Behrens led the way. He went 4-5 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for Rice. The winner was Chris Roberts, who threw 66 pitches over 5 innings. The right-hander was charged with 3 runs on 9 hits. Losses have been few and far between for the Bulldogs, who are now 5-1.

Also pitching in for Rice was left fielder Jesse Seal, who hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the eighth. For the game, Seal went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4.
