Ibarra Leads Sycamores to Win
|
Indiana State designated hitter Sam Ibarra was instrumental in his team's 8-6 win over the Virginia Cavaliers. Ibarra, who is rated as the 74th best prospect by BNN, went 2-4 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Sycamores. Jim Unknown earned the save for Indiana State, his 1st. At 5-1, the Sycamores have played well so far.
Ibarra provided the big break for the Sycamores in the top of the fifth inning. With the bases loaded, he hit a bases-clearing triple, helping Indiana State to get the win.
"I still think this team has room for improvement," Ibarra told the Indiana State News.
