Cowboys Fall Short at South Carolina
The Gamecocks had to overcome a fine effort from Oklahoma State pitcher Curtis Wood to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Scandals Ballpark. Wood went 6 innings and allowed 1 earned run. South Carolina reliever Chris Terry was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Alvin Sheldon took the loss for Oklahoma State. South Carolina is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 5 games.

Corey Blades changed the game with one swing of the bat. With one out in the bottom of the tenth, the South Carolina first baseman hammered a solo home run off Alvin Sheldon. It was his 4th home run of the season. With it, South Carolina took the lead, 4-3.
