Gavins goes 3-for-4 to Power Commodores Offense
The Vanderbilt Commodores cruised to a 12-3 win over the Clemson Tigers at Ballpark of Barrow College today. Jimmy Gavins led the way, going 3-for-4 for Vanderbilt. Kyle Harless got credit for the save for Vanderbilt. It was his 1st of the year. Vanderbilt is still hoping to get on a roll. The win is just their 2nd in 5 games.

Gavins contributed a productive at-bat in the bottom of the fifth. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was one at-bat among others that helped Vanderbilt get the win.

"Been a rough stretch for us," said Clemson manager Júlio Santana.
