Iowa State shortstop Justin Olson was a significant contributor in his team's 6-2 triumph over the Georgia Bulldogs. He went 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for Iowa State. Iowa State, now 2-3, is off to a slow start.
In the bottom of the 5th, Iowa State took the lead on a 2-run double by Steve Lanier. At the time, the Cyclones were trailing 1-0, but Lanier's hit with two outs against Georgia pitcher John Humphrey put them in front, 2-1.
