Wollney Goes Wild, But Demon Deacans Win
Iowa State catcher Ben Wollney pounded Wake Forest Demon Deacans pitchers at Cypress Quarters College Grounds, but it was not enough to keep the Cyclones from falling, 18-6. Wollney went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. The loss drops Iowa State to 1-3.

Matt Russell came through for Wake Forest in the bottom of the first. With no one out, Russell victimized Joe Stewart with a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put Wake Forest on top, 3-0.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Russell.
