Bobby Cahall had a good game, but he could not keep the Texas Longhorns from falling, 11-8, to the Fresno State Bulldogs at Ballpark of Celebration College. The Texas left fielder went 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 in the loss. Fresno State reliever Devin Sparks picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Andy Robisch shouldered the loss. Jim Unknown earned the save for Fresno State, his 1st of the year.

Danny Stone didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run home run to put Fresno State on top, 2-0.

"I like the roll we're on," said Fresno State manager Xavier Chávez.

With their winning streak at 4, the Bulldogs have raced to a strong start this season.
