John Lary was instrumental in his team's 10-4 triumph over the Louisiana-Layfayette Ragin Cajuns. The designated hitter went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times for the Oregon Ducks. Oregon reliever Brian Altman was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Greg Maynard took the loss. The win lifts Oregon to a record of 2-1.
Cody Yost was one of the major contributors to the win for Oregon. The light-hitting second baseman stroked a triple to center in the top of the seventh inning. For the day, he went 2-5 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
