Green Wave Clip Bears in Tight Contest

The Tulane Green Wave did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Baylor Bears at Wolverines Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Justin Herbert, who captured player of the game honors. Chad Blair, credited with the win, is now 1-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.2 innings. With the loss, Baylor sinks to 0-3.
Mike Stacy made it 4-3 in favor of Tulane when he delivered a run-scoring single. It came with one out in the top of the eighth. The Green Wave went on to win.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Baylor manager Carlos Garza said following the tough loss.
