Wolverines Lose, 10-4, at Bruisers Ballpark
The Michigan Wolverines got a superb performance from left fielder Alex Garza. Still, it wasn't enough to beat North Carolina. The Tar Heels won the game, 10-4. In spite of the loss, Garza was named the player of the game. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. North Carolina reliever Mike Robinson was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Evan Thomas took the loss for Michigan. North Carolina, at 2-0, is off to a blistering start.

The Tar Heels got a big at-bat from designated hitter Justin Bradley. For the game, Bradley went 1-5 with a double. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the first, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 1st double of the season gave North Carolina a 3-0 lead.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said North Carolina manager William Wilson.
