Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the South Carolina Gamecocks home opener. Brooks Kuehn started for the home team against Justin Weber for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The Gamecocks were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 7-5, Georgia Tech. Tommy Buford was named player of the game. Justin Weber earned the win to go to 1-0.
