Despite a fine performance by second baseman Dave Evans, the Brisbane Bush Wackers suffered a 3-1 loss to the Stroudsburg Shade. Evans was 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk. Naoyuki Kikuchi recorded the save for Stroudsburg, his 6th of the season. With the win, Stroudsburg has a record of 70-91. Brisbane falls to 103-58.

The Shade got a lift from right fielder Fred Seiffert who had a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the sixth inning off Lúcio Barrón. It was his 1st RBI of the season and put Stroudsburg in front, 2-1.

Seiffert told a Stroudsburg Gazette reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
