The Tree City Black Squirrels eked out a 7-6 win versus the Houston Sting at The Nut House. Nobody did more than catcher Yasuo Sakamoto, who captured player of the game honors. Tree City reliever Cory Kieck picked up the win, upping his record to 6-11. Morgan Hassell took the loss. With the victory, the Black Squirrels record now stands at 103-58.

Sakamoto had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 1-1 fastball from Morgan Hassell, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Black Squirrels a 7-6 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Sakamoto.

"We found a way to get it done," Sakamoto said.
